Shimad Ibrahim was appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the State Trading Organization (STO) plc in November 2023, having previously served on its Board of Directors since 2019. He is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in corporate finance, having previously served as Chief Financial Officer at Villa Group, Head of Finance at Maldives Islamic Bank, and Chief Finance Executive at the Ministry of Finance. In September 2024, he was also appointed chairperson of Fenaka Corporation amid its merger into STO.
