Mohamed Ahmed was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Capital Market Development Authority (CMDA) in July 2024. He has more than 40 years of experience across finance, banking, public administration, and corporate governance. Throughout his career, he has served in senior positions in both the public and private sectors, including the Ministry of Finance, the Bank of Maldives, and Solarelle Insurance.
