Established in 1982, the Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization focused on advancing the Maldivian tourism sector. It serves as a key liaison with government policy-making bodies to ensure new regulations and legislation align with industry standards and international best practices. In addition to industry advocacy, MATI conducts research, hosts forums and workshops, and represents Maldivian hospitality interests internationally.
